  • Stéphanie Ledoux has travelled widely, painting and drawing portraits through which she experiences the people and places she visits. She is often seen surrounded by a throng of onlookers as she sketches, which for most artists would be distracting, but for Stéphanie constitutes affirmation and encouragement. Her portraits, with their direct regard, go straight to the heart of her subjects. While drawing , she likes to interview her models and have them talk about their traditions, lives and aspirations. She especially enjoys her status as a woman, which helps her gain access to the privacy of homes, talk to women and make an inventory of the status of those she meets.

COLLECTION - Stephanie Mclean

  • Canvas Artwork Print 28”x 36”

$650 - SOLD (print available on request)

  • Original Mixed Media Painting 28”x 36”

    $2,500 - Available in Store

  • A native Montrealer (Quebec, Canada) who now calls Toronto (Ontario, Canada) home, Stephanie McLean’s artistic approach to her portrait painting is to sense and follow the flow of universal energy and to trust the direction in which she finds her paint colors flowing.

She works from black and white reference photos so as not to copy the original photos’ colours. These references are more often than not a composite of various photos mocked up in Photoshop. Straying from natural skin tones, she mixes her paint colours in such a way that the lightest values of different hues are used for highlights while the darker hues are reserved for the shadows (even the colour orange can be in the shadows depending on her palette!). Layers upon layers of paint allow earlier colours to peak through, adding visual interest and – most importantly – ENERGY to her work.

In her artistic practice, she looks forward to portraying the unique, creative shapes and energies of both animals and people from all walks of life.

  • JUSTINE VELASQUEZ (b. 1981) is currently working as a Senior Landscape Designer in an international company in Hong Kong as well as pursuing a part-time career as an artist. He has been creating art since childhood and even used his talent to earn some money when he was in secondary school and accepted projects in poster making, editorial cartooning and mural painting. His passion for painting stopped when he entered the corporate world. But in 2019, he began to revive his passion for art to relieve his stress.

Velasquez discovered the fluid art form and he progressed into resin painting and now predominantly works with epoxy resin. His fearless approach is unorthodox and audacious, rarely using an easel or a brush. Most of his works involve flow art technique, naturally and controlled. His background in landscape architecture reflects in his works from landscape and seascape scenes, abstract figurative forms, and topography. Most of his works are done on wood boards, round boards, wood slab, clocks, canvas, mirrors, trays, and the like. Aside from regularly joining local exhibitions, he has participated in Affordable Art Fair (2022-2024) in Hong Kong.

  • Gaspard Mitz is a Parisian mixed-media artist born in 1981.

Inspired by 1:87 scale model figures, Gaspard Mitz created his first narrative box in December 2010 as a gift to his girlfriend. In his Box Stories, he sets up miniature characters in larger-than-life scenarios. He shapes tailor-made destinies for his figurines, enjoys making references to the History of Art and tries to make people smile.

He has always been keen on jewel cases-objects, such as music boxes, cuckoo clocks and artist Joseph Cornell’s artworks. Being an admirer of East Asian aesthetics, he sets up his scenes in sober, uncluttered atmospheres, and works with selected materials: wood, foam board and paper.

Box Stories are limited-edition pieces handcrafted by Gaspard Mitz in Paris. They are showcased within a wooden box with anti-reflective glass. Each piece is signed, titled, numbered and dated on the back, and has a hook hanging system.

Box Stories are exhibited in galleries and contemporary art fairs in France and abroad.

  • SEATY is an artist born in 1983 in the South of France. He was part of the Toulouse graffiti scene in the early 2000's where he started writing tags on walls when he was still a child.

Heavily influenced by hip-hop, self-taught artist SEATY began his artistic career at an early age on the streets of the graffiti mecca of Toulouse in the early 2000s. He transitioned from public art to painting on canvas over a decade ago, with large-scale portraits that combine spray painting and traditional drawing techniques. Signature works like Kingston (2018), Luanda (2019), and The Bronx (2020) depict grayscale portraits of women adorned with headdresses and afro hairstyles that burst with vivid colors. These works are composed of spray paint and splattered drips and reimagine the classic street art tag—a graffiti artist’s signature mark—for contemporary figurative painting.

Lately Seaty has been working for 2 years on the creation of large-scale sculptures. If the project remains secret for the moment, Seaty reveals that these new works will be busts of African and Asian women respecting his 3 key words "colorful, urban and modern". Enough to mark his 20 years of career with a hot iron and to stir up curiosity in the sphere of Contemporary Art without moderation. Patience and languor.
